Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, China, and the largest city in the Northeast (formerly Manchuria). Shenyang is situated in the southern portion of the vast Northeast (Manchurian) Plain just north of the Hun River, a major tributary of the Liao River. The city site is a flat, low-lying alluvial plain, although the land rises to the east toward the forested slopes of the Changbai Mountains.
Shenyang (population 8 million)
Pros
Modern city capital in the province
Good apartments located very close to the kindergartens
Current teachers pay 1,500 to 2000 (so with the 1000 we give) only paying 500 to 1000 RMB per month for rent.
The one that is 2000 is new and right beside the kindergarten so the teacher there is very happy with that apartment.
Kindergartens are new and modern.
The summer is comparably mild.
Cons
It gets cold in the winter being in the north.
Current requirement: Either the teacher needs to show a letter with two years of experience OR the TEFL Certificate should be authenticated. (For teachers without a TEFL course, M.E.F. offers the free TEFL course and certificate).
Depending on the kindergarten you may need to use more of their teaching materials and lesson planning over the M.E.F. lesson curriculum in that area.
